New Taxi Cab Operation in Rio Vista – Welcome Cab Ride!
Cab Ride has started taxicab operations in the City of Rio Vista and to other destinations outside the City. Hours of operation are seven days a week from 9 am to 2:30 am.

Hangar Inspections - April 2012
The City of Rio Vista is providing notice that the City’s Airport Manager and Fire Marshal intend to conduct a joint inspection of the hangar you lease to ensure compliance with the California Fire Code, Rio Vista Municipal Airport Rules and Regulations and Title 11 of the Rio Vista Municipal Code.
There is a $48.00 inspection fee which must be paid in the form of cash or check (made payable to the City of Rio Vista) on the day of inspection.
The hangar inspections will be conducted throughout the month of April on the following Fridays: 4/6, 4/13, 4/20 and 4/27 and the following Saturday: 4/14 for approximately 10 minutes each between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. You may select one of the following times to schedule your inspection:
- AM: 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, 10:45, 11:00, 11:15, 11:30, 11:45
- PM: 12:00, 12:15, 12:30, 12:45, 1:00, 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00.

Such inspection is mandatory for all tenants and the City encourages participation in the hangar inspections.

Rio Vista Municipal Airport is looking for more tenants to fill vacant spaces at the Airport. The City has created several promotional opportunities for existing and future tenants. Check them out below!
Current tenants:
1. Fly A Friend to O88! Help us find more tenants and be rewarded! Just find a friend to store their aircraft at the Airport and if they sign a one year lease agreement, you as the referee would receive one month free rent as part of the next month’s bill.
2. Pay 11 months in advance with the Rio Vista City Hall Finance Department or online here and receive the 12th month free!
Future tenants:
1. Commit with the Rio Vista Municipal Airport for one year by signing an Agreement and pay month to month, on time with no delinquencies and receive the 12th month free. If the tenant fails to pay on time during the one year period or terminates, the offer is void. There is no penalty for terminating.

Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) Commissioned
Rio Vista Municipal Airport has a commissioned AWOS A (V) system in place that has been commissioned by the Federal Avaition Administration (FAA). If you wish to use this system, you can access the system via phone, radio and internet:

Runway 14/32 Changes to Runway 15/33 – Effective May 5, 2011
Effective May 5, 2011 due to a MarVar Update initiated by the FAA, Runway 14 is now Runway 15 and Runway 32 is now Runway 33. Over the next three to six months – the FAA Form 5010 will be updated, signage on the airport grounds will be updated. The runway numbers have been repainted already. Please contact Airport Administration at 707.374.2716 with further questions on this runway number change.
