NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF ELECTION – CITY OF RIO VISTA
DATE OF ELECTION – UPDATED AUGUST 22, 2018
The election that would have been held for two City Council seats on November 6, 2018 has been canceled, pursuant to Elections Code Section 10229, if no more certified nominees have been put forth by the electorate than offices to be filled, the City Council may appoint the nominees. Rio
Vista’s City Council took this action on August 21, 2018 and appointed Dave Hampton and James McCracken each to a four-year term Council Member seat. Mr. Hampton and Mr. McCracken will officially be sworn in and take office after the November 6th election.
On August 21, 2018, the City Council held a Special Meeting and adopted:
