* NOTE for Cell Phone Users:
Not all 911 calls from cell phones are routed to the nearest emergency call center; many times cell phone 911 calls are routed to the California Highway Patrol first. If you using a cell phone, your Rio Vista Public Safety services recommend taking the following steps:
1. Program the Dispatch number into your cell phone.
2. Know your location when you call 911! Not all cell phones and systems are able to immediately track location – the more information the caller can provide, the faster assistance can be sent.
