Highway 12 Corridor and Bridge Survey

The Solano Economic Development Corporation (Solano EDC), working with the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), is coordinating the Highway 12 Comprehensive Corridor Economic Analysis that will closely evaluate the potential economic benefits and needs of this "trade and commuter" corridor from Lodi, through Solano County to Napa.

The results of the Economic Benefit and Needs Survey will have a major effect on Rio Vista.  Therefore, we, the City Council, need the citizens and business communities to provide your input for this important analysis.

Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Survey

CDBG ADA Rehabilitation Project

On September 15, 2005, City Council approved Resolution No. 2005-112 for submittal of an application for funding from the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) through the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The City of Rio Vista was subsequently awarded a CDBG ADA Compliance Grant on March 23, 2006. This grant, totaling $891,700, excluding a matching portion of $300,000, for ADA compliance projects.The ADA projects were completed on December 2010 with improvements made to street curbs, City Hall restrooms, Park restrooms, and Police and Fire restrooms.  Following the project completion, there were complaints filed with HCD stating the City did not comply with State and Federal procedures.  City Staff addressed those issue and the matter was resolved (click here to view letter).As part of the grant a "close out" audit by the State was conducted.  The State determined that the City did not follow all procedures set out in the grant.  As such, the State sent the City a Letter of findings (click here to view the letter) requesting that the City responded to the findings.  The City responded to all the findings (Click her to view).   Also attached is a Chronology of events pertaining to the CDBG grant (Click here to view)
