Pyrethroid Management

The City of Rio Vista is committed to implementing an Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
approach to guide the management of its facilities, landscaped areas, and rights-of-way. The IPM
approach promotes the protection of the residents and visitors, as well as the local waterways, and utilizes
a pest management strategy that promotes the long-term suppression of pest problems with minimum
impact on non-target organisms and the environment as well as a reduction in use of pesticides. Least
toxic pesticides are used only after an assessment indicates such a need.
