Q: How do I start Services?

A: To start services fill out a Utility Application Form or if renting fill out a Tenant Owner Application and provide required back up documents.

 

Q: What required back up documents do I need with my application to start service?

A: If you are an Owner please provide either the Final Settlement Statement or the Grant Deed.

     If you are a Tenant please provide a copy of your lease / rental agreement.

 

Q: How often do I get billed for service? 

A: The service is a monthly charge.

 

Q: What should I do if i don't receive a bill?

A: Please give adequate time for the Postal Service to deliver your bill. Water customers are responsible for charges, even if they do not receive a bill. So, please contact the Finance Department if you believe there is an issue.

 

Q: How do I stop service?

A: You will need to complete a Utility Application Form and choose Final Bill. In addition, a forwarding address and contact information where we can  send any refund you may be due, or bill for any remaining balance. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the date you want your service stopped.

 

Q: What if I am selling my house?

A: Billing will remain in your name until our office receives notice to terminate. Be sure to provide a forwarding address where we can send any    applicable refund or send your final bill; please provide notice 48 hours before the closing so that we can schedule the final reading of your water meter.

 

Q: What days of the week can I water?

A: Due to the drought in California the City has different days for outside watering

     Even street addresses can water Tue, Sat   6:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m.

     Odd street addresses can water  Wed, Sun    6:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Washing vehicles equipment or boats can be done during your watering days and times. 

Please check your soap label to make sure it is "biodegradable and Storm Drain approved".
