Construction Permitting

The City of Rio Vista has adopted the following codes, which are reviewed and updated annually.
These Codes include the 2007 California code of regulations Title 24 (CCR T-24).

Water Connection

A charge shall be assessed of $5,950 for each consumer unit or equivalent. The Service Charge shall be broken down into two sections, as per Municipal Code Section 13.04.060.

Interim Water Fee

When the building permit is first obtained, the developer shall at that time pay to the City an application fee of $80.01, and that said fee shall be per unit constructed for water service during construction.

Sewer Connection Fee

The amount of connection charge for the new facilities shall be per unit of occupancy as per Municipal Code Section 22-28 and Ordinance 573:

Residential Unit: $6610.76 per unit

Collection System Fee

A buy-in fee to participate in the City’s inceptor lines, sewage collection, and wastewater treatment facilities shall be assessed each unit at a charge established in Municipal Code Section 22.2.8 (Ordinance 573). $967.43

Roadway Fee

Residential:

$8,344.65 per single-family dwelling unit
$5,810.77 per multi-family dwelling unit
$5,810.77 per senior dwelling unit where occupancy is restricted by State Law

Non-Residential:

$1.51/s.f. (gross floor area and area under roof) of commercial building space (retail and office uses)
$0.71/s.f. (gross floor area and area under roof) of industrial, service and other non-residential uses
